Noodles and the Central Bark

Hello and Happy New Year's Eve!

We just returned from visiting family on the west coast and I thought I would share with you a few pictures of Noodles. Noodles is Chris's sister's dog, rescued from a shelter in the LA area. She is a very handsome and tall Pitbull mix. We enjoyed taking her to the wonderful, three acre Central Bark dog park in Irvine during our stay. I must say, the dog park in Irvine puts all others that I have seen around the Boston area to shame.

Here are 2 photos of Noodles in our car on the way to the Central Bark. She was trying to wedge herself under the seat but only succeeded in getting stuck.

Meet Finn

Old time friend Rosie (back) finds herself a younger brother named Finn (front). As you can see from the photo, both dogs have perfected the "sit for treat". Congratulations for finding a home, Finn (previously known as Dino).

FPP Dog walk

Another successful dog walk for Gayle and Friends of the Plymouth Pound! You will remember we adopted Madison from FPP almost 3 years ago! We weren't able to make the event last year because Madison was recovering from her first TPLO surgery to correct a torn ACL. This year though she was in good form and even went for a a swim in the pond with Stella.

Madison's sister Karley

KARLEY

MADISON

We met up with Karley and her owners today during the FPP dog walk. Karley and Madison are remarkably similar in terms of personality and appearance, although you will notice Karley has a lighter coat color. Sister Peanut was spotted at the walk today as well but unfortuently we never saw her to take a photo. Sister Lilly and Brother Dylan were not in attendance but we know both pups are doing very well. We hope you enjoy the photos.

Madison's Foster Dad

We met up with Madison's foster Dad, Phil at the BBQ today. He was all smiles and very happy to see his girl Madison again, who has snuck into the photo with Chris. Phil is sending some photos of Madison as a pup, so I post them soon.

FTLOD dog walk photos

Great turn out today to support FTLOD! Here are few photos of us and the crowd. Total amount raised for the dogs was almost $9,000!

Tug-of-war anyone?

Chris and our girls

Luckily for us and our four legged friends, the rain held off during today's dog walk and BBQ. I took the camera out after lunch to take a few photos for the blog. Everyone loves Stella's ears. One up and one down.

Here is Chris taking the girls for a walk in the field after lunch.

Petey the Pittie

Two photos of Petey, the rather large fun loving boy owned by FTLOD volunteer, Kristine. Doesn't he have a great smile?

Here are 2 young Pittie siblings rescued from the streets of Manhattan looking for foster parents. They were a big hit with everyone.

We did it! $1500.00

Stella and Madison can finally take a well deserved break after all of their fund raising efforts. What a wonderful response from all of our family, friends and co-workers. Almost everyone who was asked donated money for our furry friends at For The Love of Dog and we want to say THANK YOU! Together we reached our goal and raised $1500.00. WAY TO GO!

The walk is tomorrow and looks to be in the mist of some heavy downpours. I will still try to take some pictures. Check back on Sunday and I will post an event update.

Also, we made a dozen or so bags of BottleCap Biscuits to give out at the walk. So if you see us there, just ask for some.

Thanks again!

Renovations

Looks like our Mouse may be expecting some little ones as she has added an extra floor onto her house.

Water Sports

While watering the lawn over labor day weekend, we discovered that Stella loves to play in the sprinkler.

I am searching for a digital video camera to borrow, so I can capture just how much fun she is having on film. Once I find one, I will download the video clip to the blog.

I hear we reached our goal!

Stella can sleep soundly at night knowing that we have raised 1500.00 dollars to help her pals at For The Love Of Dog.

For The Love of Dog annual fundraiser

Hello Everyone:

The Fur Family is Back Online!

Sorry for the delay but the Fur Family has been going through a rough spell and we needed some time away to recover. We have lost many of our beloved Fur Family members over the past year so we begin with a post asking for your support.

Madison and her new sister Stella, who we adopted from the rescue organization " For The Love of Dog" are collecting donations for their annual fundraiser this upcoming September 6th at Hopkinton State Park. We will be walking in Memory of our beloved dog Mirah who past away on May 27th, 2008. The money we collect will go directly towards the rescue and care of the many dogs currently looking for their forever homes while being loved and housed by For The Love of Dog volunteers.

As our friends and Fur Family supporters, you all know how deeply Chris and I support animal adoption and rescue, so we are reaching out now for your financial support.

TO MAKE A DONATION SIMPLY CLICK ON THIS POST'S TITLE TO VISIT MY DONATION PAGE.

Thank you very much for your contribution and for helping "For the Love of Dog" give unwanted dogs a second chance!

Kerrie, Chris, Madison and Stella.
